Police nab 8 in latest Nashua drug sweep targeting dealers, total now at 104

NASHUA - The police's ongoing drug sweep continued netted another round of arrests, this time nabbing eight more people suspected of being involved with drugs in the Queen City.

Six of the eight were charged with being involved in the sales of drugs.

The sweep was part of an ongoing Combined Drug Impact Initiative by the Nashua Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division.

In a just under 3 months, the initiative has netted the arrests of 104 total people.

The arrests

Ricky Holloway, 25, of New York, was charged with one count of sale of controlled drug (crack cocaine), a felony, and one count possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute, (enhanced penalty in excess of 5 grams) crack cocaine. Holloway was found in possession of approximately 10 grams of crack cocaine on his person at the time of his arrest. Holloway is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail pending his arraignment on Wednesday.

Aaron Smith, 25, of Nashua, was charged with two counts sale of controlled drug (heroin), a felony, and one count possession of controlled drug (heroin), a felony. Smith’s bail was set at $50,000 personal recognizance and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 23.

Matthew Escamilla, 22 of Nashua, was charged with two counts of sale of controlled drug (heroin), a felony. Escamilla is currently being held on $50,000 cash/surety bail pending his arraignment on Wednesday.

Nicholas McDowell-Monte, 28 of Nashua, was charged with one count of sale of controlled drug (heroin), a felony. McDowell-Monte is currently being held on $25,000 cash/surety bail pending his arraignment on Wednesday.

R. Shelbi Paynter, 37 of Massachusetts, was charged with attempt sale of controlled drug (heroin), a felony, falsifying physical evidence, a felony, disobeying an officer, a misdemeanor, and reckless conduct, a misdemeanor. Paynter’s bail was set at $15,000 cash and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 20.

Christi Terrell, 23 of Massachusetts, was charged with attempt sale of controlled drug (crack cocaine), a felony, possession of controlled drug (marijuana), a misdemeanor, and prostitution and related offenses, a misdemeanor. Terrell’s bail was set at $1,000 cash or surety and she scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 22.

Tyler Greenhalgh, 23 of Nashua, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled (oxycodone), a felony. Greenhalgh’s bail was set at $5,000 cash and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 27.

James Watson, 22 of Nashua, was charged with one count of possession of controlled drug (marijuana), a misdemeanor. Watson’s bail was set at $2,000 personal recognizance and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 23.
