Police: Murdered Bedford woman victim of drive-by shooting

MANCHESTER - Police now believe that a woman murdered six months ago while taking her Sunday evening walk was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Police are still investigating the death of Denise Robert, 62, an advertising saleswoman who worked for the Union Leader Corp. for 30 years. She was shot in the head Aug. 30 on Ray Street in the North End of Manchester.

Chief Enoch Willard told the Union Leader that police do not believe the shooting was random. Police are not commenting on the evidence gathered.

Manchester Crimeline is offering a $40,000 reward for information leading to the killer's arrest. To report a tip, call Manchester police at 668-8711 or, to remain anonymous, call Crimeline at 624-4040.
