Police: Murdered Bedford woman victim of drive-by shooting


MANCHESTER - Police now believe that a woman murdered six months ago while taking her Sunday evening walk was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Police are still investigating the death of Denise Robert, 62, an advertising saleswoman who worked for the Union Leader Corp. for 30 years. She was shot in the head Aug. 30 on Ray Street in the North End of Manchester.

Chief Enoch Willard told the Union Leader that police do not believe the shooting was random. Police are not commenting on the evidence gathered.
