Police: Missing NH woman disappeared after swimming in local river

LINCOLN — Lincoln Police responded Wednesday night to a missing person report for a Lincoln woman near a local river.

Police said the woman was last seen near the Lady's bathtub on the Pemigewasset River earlier Wednesday morning.

According to Sergeant DeLuca, the police began an investigation that night by questioning some of the woman's friends in Lincoln.

After the woman, believed to be Marielle Olson of Lincoln, was not located Thursday morning, police said they carried out another round of interviews, and one friend stated the missing woman had gone swimming in the river.

Lincoln Police could not locate her, and an ongoing search of the river is now being conducted with the Lincoln Fire Department, Woodstock Fire Department and NH Fish and Game.

Marielle is described as a white female with blond hair, blue eyes and around the age of 35. She is 5'3" and was last seen wearing jeans and a shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lincoln Police at (603)745-2238.
