Police: Manchester woman hid almost 10 grams of marijuana in gas tank area of car
MANCHESTER — A Manchester woman acting disorderly in the middle of the roadway hid 9.84 grams of marijuana in the gas tank area of a vehicle, police said.
Amanda Parent, 25, was standing in the intersection of Auburn and Beech streets Saturday at about 12:05 a.m.
Parent was allegedly intoxicated and engaged in a verbal confrontation with an unknown male who left the area prior to police arrival, police said.
An anonymous woman informed the officers that Parent placed an unknown item in the gas tank area of a vehicle before police arrived on scene. The officers were able to locate 9.84 grams of marijuana in the gas tank area.
Parent was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug - marijuana and appeared in court Monday. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
