Police: Manchester woman drove drunk with 2 children in car, had heroin
MANCHESTER - A woman has been charged with endangering a child and DWI after she was found allegedly driving drunk with two children in the back seat and in possession of heroin.
43 year-old Kristin Fosher-Laliberte of Manchester was arrested late Thursday night.
A plain clothes detective said he saw Fosher-Laliberte briefly passed out at a stop light on Lake Avenue in Manchester, and asked for a patrol officer to follow her.
The officer reported watching her hit a curb and swerve across double yellow lines before he was able to pull her over near McGregor Square.
Two children, both 3 years old, were in the back seat. Fosher-Laliberte later failed field sobriety tests.
A search after her DWI arrest also led to the discovery of .7 grams of heroin.
Fosher-Laliberte was charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin), aggravated driving while intoxicated, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The two children were not harmed during the incident and were placed in proper care.
