Police: Manchester man, woman resisted arrest after reports of fight

MANCHESTER — Police arrested two Manchester residents after receiving a call about a fight that potentially involved a knife, according to the caller.

Officers made contact with Kyle Grikscheit, 20 of Manchester, in the doorway of the apartment. Grikschiet refused to comply with their instructions, which resulted in a struggle between the officers and Grikscheit, police said.

Grikscheit was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and a warrant for willful concealment. Samantha Emerson, 19 of Manchester, was inside the apartment yelling and screaming profanity which could be heard by other residents of the apartment building, police said.

Emerson tried to interfere with the officers, while they struggled to arrest Grikschiet. She then started to fight with the officers and resisted arrest as well, slipping out of the handcuffs and trying to push away, police said.

Emerson was charged with two counts of resisting arrest, one count of obstructing government administration and one count of disorderly conduct.

No knife was found or used during the altercation.
