Police: Manchester man threatening people with handgun found with drugs
MANCHESTER — A Manchester man arrested for threatening two people with a handgun inside an apartment building was later found in possession of marijuana, crack-cocaine and oxycodone pills, police said.
A woman told officers that an unknown man threatened her and her friend with a handgun Tuesday at about 10:50 p.m. She stated that the man pointed a handgun at her when she attempted to make contact with tenants inside one of the apartments at 385 Union St.
Officers identified the man matching the suspect description and located a firearm inside of apartment No. 11. Officers removed the .40 caliber Springfield XD and placed it into safekeeping.
Officers prepared an arrest warrant for Marc Joseph, 29. Joseph was located Thursday at about 1:30 p.m. walking on Beech Street.
Joseph was searched during his arrest, which revealed three small bags inside of his pockets. The bags contained 1.50 grams of marijuana, 1.44 grams of crack-cocaine and five 10mg oxycodone pills.
Joseph was arrested on a warrant for two counts of criminal threatening - felony. He was also charged with two counts possession of a controlled drug - felony and one count possession of a controlled drug - misdemeanor.
His bail was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to be back in court on Nov. 17.
