Police: Manchester man sent ex-girlfriend gun emoji, charged with criminal threatening
MANCHESTER - Reports of shot fired at a Manchester apartment led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man on Wednesday night.
A 24-year-old woman told police her ex-boyfriend - Jeremy Luna, 19 - shot at her apartment complex.
Luna allegedly sent her threatening text messages because she refused to speak with him in person. He threatened to "shoot her place up" if she didn't see him, and showed up uninvited but she refused to open the door, according to police.
A bullet went through the windshield of her vehicle that was parked outside her apartment complex, police said.
Luna was arrested that night at Don Quijote's Restaurant. Luna was not in possession of a firearm when he was arrested.
Luna has been charged with domestic criminal threatening, which he did by sending the victim a gun emoji, and witness tampering.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Police said the gunshot in her windshield is still under investigation, and no one has been formally charged at this time.
Luna was arrested in October when police seized drugs from a Manchester apartment.
