Police: Manchester man robbed at gunpoint by 18-year-old, 3 juveniles

MANCHESTER — A Manchester man was allegedly robbed at gun point while sitting in his parked car.

Travis Fitzgerald, 25, told police that he was robbed at gun point by four men while parked at the end of Depot Street Sunday at about 9:40 p.m. Fitzgerald said that one of the young men pointed a black handgun at him while demanding cash, so Fitzgerald handed him his wallet which reportedly contained a small amount of cash and credit cards.

Officers were able to locate the four men described by Fitzgerald walking westerly on the Granite Street Bridge. Three of the four men complied with officers when told to stop on the bridge, police said.

An officer was able to catch up with Jafet Centeno, the non-compliant 18-year-old of Manchester, and arrested him with conspiracy to commit robbery and resisting arrest/detention. Centeno appeared in court on Monday.

An unloaded .45 caliber handgun was located on one of the men, police said.

The three juveniles were taken into custody.

An officer and his K-9 were able to locate Fitzgerald's wallet a short time later, which was returned to him.
