MERRIMACK — Police stopped a car for speeding, and said that the driver was also drunk and in possession of narcotics.
Police pulled over, Romulo Dominic Valdez, 30 of Amherst early Saturday morning on the Daniel Webster Highway for speeding.
During the pullover and while speaking to Valdez, police noticed that he appeared to be drunk. Police also found Valdez to be in possession of a narcotic drug.
Valdez was then arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor - his second offense; possession of a narcotic drug; transportation of drugs and speeding.
He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
