Police: Man tried to climb runway fence at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

Police arrested a man accused of trying to climb a runway fence at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport at about 5:10 p.m. Thursday.

The unarmed 22-year-old Mohamed Elchabbi was charged with attempting to commit criminal trespass, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and simple assault. He refused bail and was held overnight at the Rockingham County Jail.

Police said they believe the alleged incident was isolated and associated with a mental health issue.
