Police: Man threatens to light cashier booth on fire during robbery of Manchester gas station

MANCHESTER - Police are looking for a man that poured lighter fluid on a gas station booth and threatened to light it on fire if the clerk didn't give him money from the register.

Early Tuesday morning at about 12:10 a.m., police responded to Speedway Gas on Massabesic Street after reports of a robbery.

The Speedway clerk said she was working in the secured booth when a man walked up to the window and began pouring lighter fluid on the booth.

She said he threatened to light the booth on fire if she failed to give him cash from the register.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after the woman emptied the register.

Police are searching for a man, about 5’8" tall, and last seen walking toward Hayward Street. He was wearing a blue coat, black ski mask, and light colored gloves.
