MANCHESTER- An armed suspect attempted to rob Down the Block Convenience late Saturday night.

Dawn Khawaja, the clerk working at the time, claims that a tall, white male, approximately 5-foot-10 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and white t-shirt over his face demanded cash.

The unidentified suspect pulled out a 3-inch knife after his demand.

In response police said Khawaja pulled out a larger knife which caused the suspect to flee the scene by foot.

Police then responded to the scene.

The Manchester Police Detectives urge anyone with information to contact them at (603) 668-8711.
