Police: Man passed out at wheel in Sanbornton parking lot found to have meth in pocket

SANBORNTON — Police say a male driver with a suspended driver's license was passed out behind the wheel with methamphetamine in his pocket on Wednesday at about 8:30 p.m.

An officer checked on a vehicle that was parked with its engine running in the parking lot of the Sanbornton General Store on 666 New Hampton Road to find Justin M. Blais, 36, who appeared to be passed out.

Blais was arrested and charged with driving after suspension, driver's license prohibitions, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled drug.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash only. Blais was arraigned on Sept. 1.

The investigation is still ongoing.
