Police: Man jumps from window in effort to flee Manchester officers


MANCHESTER - Police arrested a wanted man after he jumped out of a window attempting to flee from the Lake Avenue apartments.

Michael Matteuzzi, 34, of Manchester, was wanted on a probation/parole violation and was spotted entering the apartment at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

Police spoke with a woman, Cheryl Calvo, who was exiting the apartment and she confirmed Matteuzzi and several others were inside of the apartment.

One of the officers spotted Matteuzzi as allegedly he jumped out of the first floor window attempting to run from police. The police were able to take him into custody, without incident, as he reached the ground.

Matteuzzi was charged with violation of bail conditions, resisting arrest/detention as well as the original warrant charge of violation of probation/parole. He will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on July 14.

The police arrested an additional man, Oscar LeClair, 36, of Danbury, who was arrested on a warrant from another agency so there is no further information on him at this time.
