Police: Man found 'huffing' Dust Off, arrested after scuffle with Lebanon police

LEBANON — Police said a man was found "huffing" in his car sitting in a parking lot.

Wednesday afternoon, police responded to the parking lot of the Colonial Plaza in West Lebanon to find 26-year-old Christopher Auld passed out in his parked car.

Police also saw several cans of the product "Dust Off" in the car with Auld when they tried to wake him.

Auld then grabbed one of the "Dust Off" cans and began to inhale the vapors. Police ordered him to stop, trying to take the can away from Auld, but he then slammed the door on the officer and continued to inhale the vapor.

Police struggled to arrest Auld, and called in for additional assistance. Once arrested, Auld was evaluated at the scene and charged with simple assault on a police officer and resisting arrest - both Class
A misdemeanors. He was also charged with inhaling toxic vapors for effect - a violation level offense.

Auld is being held at the Grafton County House of Corrections on $2,500 cash bail, and is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
