Police: Man drove south in the northbound lane of I-93 with drugs in the car


NEW HAMPTON — A man was arrested after police say he was driving southbound in the northbound lane of I-93 at 3:38 a.m. on Sunday.

Reports said that a blue Hyundai Elantra was found and stopped by state troopers. The driver was Matthew Adlard, 21, of Gilmanton.

Adlard was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless conduct, possession and transportation of a controlled drug. He was released on $5,000 bail, and will appear in court on Dec. 1.

Police have asked anyone with information pertinent to the case to contact them.
