NEW LONDON - A man was clocked going 120 mph on Interstate 89 and when pulled over, police said he was driving under the influence of drugs.

A trooper caught William Cole, 25 of New York, driving a 2015 Kia sedan going 120 mph going south on I-89 in New London.

Police said Cole refused to stop, so another trooper punctured one of his tires using a deflation device in Warner .

Cole pulled over later and was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with disobeying a police officer, reckless driving, reckless conduct, and driving under the influence of drugs.

Police took Cole to Concord Hospital because of his suspected impairment issue involving drugs.
