Police: Man driving drunk injures 3 in Rochester crash after fleeing from traffic stop


ROCHESTER - Police arrested a man Sunday night for driving drunk and crashing into another car, leaving three people injured.

Timothy Sprague, 32 of Somersworth, was driving a Buick Century on North Main Street when he fled from a traffic stop, causing him to crash into a Kia Optima.

Once police caught up to scene at the intersection of North Main Street and Exit 15 off ramp of Spaulding Turnpike.

Three people in the Kia were transported to Wentworth Douglas Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The KIA suffered major damage.

The Buick suffered significant damage and Sprague also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

EMS transported him to Frisbie Hospital where he was later arrested.

Sprague has been charged with DWI, disobeying an officer, reckless operation and several traffic offenses, and is being held at the Strafford County Jail on $10,000 cash bail scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
