Police: Man dies on Londonderry flea market grounds after being crushed by dump truck bed

LONDONDERRY - One man is dead after a construction accident on the grounds of the Flea Market.

Police said they were called to the Londonderry Flea Market on Avery Road at about 11 a.m. for reports of a man injured.

When they arrived on scene, they found a worker pinned to the ground underneath the bed of a dump truck.

Police said it's unclear at this time whether it was a mechanical problem with the truck or worker error.

OSHA is investigating the incident and police remain on scene at this time. Police are waiting to release the man's identity until his relatives have been notified.
