Police: Man broke into Claremont cafe through hole in the wall, stole cash

CLAREMONT — A suspect was arrested after allegedly robbing Dusty's Cafe on Pleasant Street in Claremont.

Scott Berry, 35, of Claremont is accused of breaking through the wall of an adjoining business and breaking into the cafe. After he was in, he allegedly stole an undetermined amount of cash and left through the same hole in the wall.

Security camera footage helped to identify the suspect.

Berry was arraigned on Wednesday afternoon, and pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

His bail was set at $25,000 and a probable cause hearing was scheduled for September 8 at 1 p.m.
