Police: Man breaks into NH recreational center shop, calls groundskeeper asking about job
WOLFEBORO — An Ossipee man allegedly broke into a recreational center shop before calling the groundskeeper asking about a job.
Police responded to "The Nick," a recreational area located at 406 Center St., for a report of a man trespassing Monday at 6:05 p.m.
The groundskeeper told officers that Zakk D. Weir, 23, had gained entry to the shop inside the main building, had eaten some of the food inside and then called the groundskeeper on the telephone in the shop to inquire about a job, police said.
Weir became verbally confrontational with officers and admitted to entering the shop and eating the food inside, police said.
Officers arrested Weir for criminal trespassing and theft and transported him to the Carroll County Jail. Weir has a court date scheduled for June 21.
