Police looking for robber of TD Bank on South Willow in Manchester

MANCHESTER - A robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the TD Bank branch on South Willow Street early Saturday afternoon, and police are looking for the suspect.

Police say they were first alerted by a panic alarm from the bank and subsequently got a phone call reporting a robbery. Police say the suspect said he had a gun but that no one actually saw it. The teller handed over cash and the man fled.

He's described at being a tall, light-skinned Hispanic man in his mid 20s, with a thin chinstrap beard and mustache. Police say he had dreadlocks to his waist and was wearing a red bandana on his head, a blue- and white-striped hoodie and dark jeans and sneakers.

Efforts to track the man with a police K9 were unsuccessful.

The incident remains under investigation.
