Police looking for info on white van connected to arson of Rochester home

ROCHESTER — Police are investigating a vacant house fire that resulted in a total loss.

On April 18, firefighters and police responded to a vacant single-story home at 30 Hansonville Road and found the house to be totally engulfed in flames - deemed a total loss.

Police said that witnesses reported seeing a larger white van in the driveway of the abandoned home the day before the fire. The van was described as a work type van that had a black and white checkered pattern on the back sides and rear of the vehicle.

Where firefighters are not yet sure what caused the fire, police are asking anyone who may information about the van or fire to contact Det. Matthew Flathers at the Rochester Police Department at 330-7109.
