LEBANON - A Lebanon man has been busted again for soliciting sex from undercover officers on Craigslist - the second time in as many weeks, police said.
Robert B. Armstrong, 48, responded to an ad placed by police on April 13. Police said Armstrong believed he was communicating with a 15-year-old female and sent emails about wanting to have sex with her and a picture of his genitalia. Police set up an April 18 meeting with Armstrong along the Rail Trail and arrested him when he showed up.
Police arrested Armstrong April 4 under somewhat similar circumstances. In that case, Armstrong allegedly posted on Craigslist he would pay $75 for sex. Police saw the ad and set up a meeting and arrested him at a local restaurant where he was charged with solicitation of prostitution. He was arrested wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a donkey and the phrase "I'm a smart one."
In the more recent case, Armstrong was charged with a felony charge of certain uses of prohibited computer services, a misdemeanor charge of obscene matter, and criminal contempt for violating the conditions of his bail set in connection with the April 4 arrest.
Armstrong was held on $25,000 cash bail and will be arraigned today at Lebanon District Court.
