Police: Lebanon man assaulted girlfriend repeatedly, wouldn't let her leave apartment

LEBANON - Police responded to reports of a domestic violence assault at an apartment building early Wednesday morning.

They were told that a woman was screaming at an apartment located on Parkhurst Street.

Police said they found a 53-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman at the apartment.

Kenneth Rapp, of Lebanon was arrested and charged with three counts of misdemeanor domestic simple assault, false imprisonment, obstructing the report of a crime, criminal mischief and criminal restraint. Police said the victim was Rapp's girlfriend.

The woman is facing non-life threatening injuries after Rapp allegedly assaulted her repeatedly and prevented her from leaving the apartment and contacting the police. Police said Rapp damaged property as well.

He was held on $1,500 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
