Police: Laconia man points gun at motorists, makes shooting gestures

LACONIA — A man was arrested for criminal threatening and reckless conduct after he pointed a gun at a passing motorist Wednesday.

Laconia Police said they arrested James Eddy, 25 of Laconia, after he pointed a rifle and made shooting gestures at a driver on Union Avenue.

Police said they located Eddy in the Arch Street area shortly after the incident.

Both of his charges are felonies and he is being held on $10,000 cash bail. Police seized Eddy's vehicle and are waiting for a search warrant to recover the rifle.
