Police: Keene man, 50, charged with sex abuse of child younger than 13

KEENE - Following an investigation into alleged child sex abuse, a 50-year-old from Keene was arrested on a warrant for aggravated felonious sexual assault involving a child under the age of 13.

Keene police say the investigation was initiated on Feb. 2 in conjunction with the state Division of Child and Youth Services into Michael Lang, of Harmony Lane. After obtaining a warrant, Lang was arrested Wednesday after turning himself in at the police station.

Lang faces one sex assault count but it involves an alleged pattern of abuse, including penetration and fellatio. Police say additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.

Lang was held at the Cheshire county jail on $10,000 cash bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Keene police at 357-9820 and ask to speak to Det. Joel Chidester or Det. Jen Ramey. Information can also be provided anonymously online.
