Police: K-9 gets domestic assault suspect who jumped from 2nd floor of Manchester apartment

MANCHESTER - A man was arrested Thursday after police said he assaulted his wife.

Thomas Ramirez, 22 of Hall Street, fled from police after jumping from the porch of a second-story apartment.

Officials said they eventually cornered Ramirez on Laurel Street. He refused to comply - even after pepper spray and a Taser were used - so a K-9 unit was deployed.

Ramirez conceded and was arrested.

He is charged with two counts resisting arrest/detention, simple assault (domestic), false imprisonment (domestic) and criminal threatening (domestic).

He will appear in the 9th Circuit Court in Manchester on Friday.
