Police issue shelter-in-place order for possibly armed clown on Merrimack College campus

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Police have issued a shelter-in-place order at Merrimack College because of a suspicious person dressed as a clown on campus.

Reports say the clown is possibly armed, and was seen roaming around campus, prompting the lock down, reports WCVB.

Many Merrimack College students are from New Hampshire.

Students say they were evacuated from the Monican dorm, but have since been let back in.

The shelter in place has been lifted.

NH1 News will have more details as they become available.
