Police investigating shooting threat at NH middle school

NH1.com

LEBANON — Police are increasing presence around the schools in the upcoming week after a threat was made to the Lebanon Middle School.

A parent called police around 3:45 p.m Friday saying her child had heard a 13-year-old male student say he was going to "shoot up" the school and a photo of the student and a gun were sent using Snapchat.

Police are investigating and at this time do not believe the threat to be credible. A firearm also has been voluntarily turned over to police for safekeeping.

The school also has been notified of the incident.
