Police investigating death of man found on NH river embankment


LEBANON — Police are investigating the death of a man found on a river embankment.

A passerby called police reporting an unresponsive man on the Lebanon side of the river embankment near Bridge Street on Wednesday at about 8 a.m.

Responding units found a white male who was pronounced dead upon arrival. The State Medical Examiner has been on scene and an autopsy will be completed in the coming days to determine the cause of death, police said.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
