Police investigating 3 drive-by shootings in Manchester

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating three separate drive-by shootings that occurred early Sunday morning.

The first took place at about 12:30 a.m. in the area of Douglas Street Extension and Thibault Field in Manchester. The shooting wasn't reported to police until a man walking his dog at about 7:40 a.m. found shell casings in the road. Neighbors confirmed that they had heard shots during the night.

The second shooting took place at 3:16 a.m. near the intersection of Putnam and Cumberland streets. Witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots and saw a black pick-up truck flee the area. The house and fence at 103 Cumberland St. were damaged by the shots.

The third shooting took place at about 3:54 a.m. in the area of Prince Street and B Street. Police found shell casings but witnesses did not get a look at the vehicle.

Manchester police are asking anyone with information to call.
