Police identify woman found dead outside in Warner as 87-year-old-woman

NH1 News

WARNER - Police have identified the woman found dead on Wednesday as Allison Robertson, 87, of Center Ossipee.

Robertson's body was spotted Wednesday evening by a group of passersby on Bear Pond Road, between Kelly and Bound Tree Roads, near the Hopkinton town line.

Police say Bear Pond Road is a 'class six road,' not maintained by the town nor intended for car traffic.

Robertson's car was found stuck on that road. Police believe she may have been searching for help when a possible fall left her unconscious.

An officer involved with the investigation suggests she may have been suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's, leading to her confusion.

Robertson was last seen by a neighbor Sunday afternoon. A receipt in her purse showed she had made a purchase around the same time.

Warner Police believe Robertson likely died days before her body was discovered, due to the condition of the body upon discovery.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
