Police identify man killed in Route 9 crash Monday in Barrington, NH


BARRINGTON - Police have identified a man killed in a car accident on Route 9 in Barrington on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014.

Gary Babineau, 50, of Fremont, was was turning left onto Ramsdell Lane when his vehicle crossed the center lane and was struck by a 2009 Kenworth tractor-trailer.

Babineau was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the truck, Keith Annis, of Center Barnstead, was also taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident shut down a portion of Route 9 for several hours while crews worked to clean up the road.
