Police: Homeless woman arrested for slapping Manchester officer, threatening to smash cruiser


MANCHESTER – A homeless woman was taken into custody Tuesday after she allegedly slapped an officer and threatened to damage his police cruiser.

Lynn Rodriquez, 48, was arrested after the person she stayed the night with at the Chestnut Street apartments in Manchester called the police.

According to police, Rodriquez became intoxicated and refused to leave the premises.

When police attempted to remove her she began yelling profanities and swinging her arms at the officer. Police say when they tried to assist her out of the building when she allegedly slapped the officer and threatened to “smash up a cruiser.”

She was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
