Police: Hit-and-run leads to drug arrest in Manchester after heroin, pills, scale found


MANCHESTER – Police arrested a man after another man said he saw him flee the scene after hitting a parked car near Central High School on Maple Street.

Police said a 23-year-old man flagged down police after witnessing the crash and identified the vehicle’s driver - 29-year-old Jason Deluca, Manchester – as he was walking on Bridge Street.

Police arrested Deluca and found 7.76 grams of heroin, 47 clonazepam pills and four buprenorphine pills, packaging material, a scale and $783 during a search.

He is charged with three counts of sale/manufacturing a controlled drug, conduct after an accident and his second offense of operating on a license suspension.

He will be arraigned Monday.
