Police: Head-on collision kills 21-year-old driver after she crossed over center line
JEFFERSON — A 21-year-old driver died in a head-on crash after she allegedly crossed over the center line with her car.
New Hampshire State Police responded to a crash Tuesday morning on Route 2 involving a car and tractor-trailer. The accident report initially said an occupant was trapped with serious injuries in the car, police said.
A Toyota Corolla, driven by Elizabeth Davis, 21 of Shelburne, was travelling west on Route 2 when it crossed the center line as it went along a gradual curve, police said. A tractor-trailer operated by Christopher Nelson, 46 of Jefferson, was travelling east when the head-on collision occurred in the eastbound lane.
Davis died at the scene of the crash due to the extensive injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Matthew Favreau at (603) 846-3333.
