Police: Gunshot wound former Jaffrey resident sustained in June was self-inflicted
JAFFREY — Police have determined through an investigation that the wounds a 42-year-old man was found with in Jaffrey were self-inflicted.
According to the Keene Sentinel, Jason D. Conety shot himself with a .22-caliber rifle in the abdomen back in June, but his motive remains unclear.
Jaffrey Police Chief William J. Oswalt told the Sentinel that he doesn’t believe Conety intended to kill himself because of the location.
Conety was treated for his injuries at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
