Police: Goffstown man passed out in car with heroin-filled syringe in his lap

MANCHESTER - Police found an unresponsive man with a syringe loaded with heroin in his lap Saturday morning.

Daniel Mercier, 32, of Goffstown, was found unresponsive in a car at the intersection of Gordon and Medford streets. He awoke when ambulance workers opened his door and found the syringe in his lap. He was taken into police custody and charged with possession of heroin and violation of bail.

He is expected to be arraigned today.
