Police: Drunken argument leads to Belmont stabbing


BELMONT – 52-year-old William Doody was arrested after police say he stabbed another man in a drunken argument.

The injured man, a 55-year-old from Stoneham, Massachusetts, was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital with a serious stab wound on his left hand.

Police determined the stabbing occurred after the argument Sunday morning.

Doody has been charged with second degree assault and reckless conduct.
