Police: Driver pulled over on I-93 for going 109 mph

CANTERBURY - State police say they clocked a driver going 109 mph and passing drivers on the left and right on Interstate 93 around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

After radioing ahead, another trooper pulled over Joshua Lessard, 22, and charged him with reckless driving. He is scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Jan. 8.

With heavier traffic expected in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday, state police say they will be out patrolling state highways and using police aircraft to monitor speeds in an effort to keep the roads safe for everyone.
