Police: 'Distraught' man with loaded gun surrenders after standoff in Hudson

HUDSON - A 'distraught' man with a loaded firearm surrendered after police said there was a standoff in a home.

Police responded to the scene on Webster Street at about 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit also responded to the scene. The incident ended after a negotiator convinced the subject to surrender.

The residence was evacuated and the road was closed to all traffic. No was injured.

There are no pending charges at this time. The subject was sent to SNHMC for observation.
