Police: Death of 21-year-old Dover man suspected to be drug overdose

DOVER — Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old after he was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene on Friday.

Friday afternoon, police responded to the home of Dylan Borrelli, 21, on Oak Street. Borrelli was pronounced dead at the home, where police said the cause of his death appears to have been a drug overdose.

Police and rescue can not confirm if drugs were the cause until results from the Chief Medical Examiner's office come back. Police also said that if Borrelli's death is due to a drug overdose, it will be the third overdose death that Dover has seen so far for 2016, where all of which are suspected to be heroin and/or fentanyl overdoses. The department also has responded to 16 non-fatal drug overdoses this year.

Anyone with information on Borrelli's death is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (603)742-4646.
