CONWAY - A Center Conway man has been accused of selling heroin after police responded to a woman who was suffering from a drug overdose.
Police responded to a home Thursday to find a woman overdosing on drugs believed to have been heroin.
As a result of the investigation, police found that the woman purchased the drug from a man living on East Main Street in Center Conway.
An arrest warrant was granted, and on Friday, police charged Paul Smith, 23 of Center Conway with conspiracy to commit the sale of a controlled/ narcotic drug - a Class B felony punishable up to 3 1/2 to 7 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Smith's bail was set at $5000 cash, and he was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
