Police Commission approves Chief Stephen DuBois' separation agreement
PORTSMOUTH – The Portsmouth Police Commission approved a separation agreement with Chief Stephen DuBois.
According to Seacoast Online, DuBois will voluntarily resign on Jan. 1 and continue to be paid through the end of March.
The agreement also no longer contains an anti-disparagement clause.
DuBois’ resignation comes after a former Portsmouth Seagrant Aaron Goodwin was named in Geraldine Webber’s will for $2.7 million.
DuBois is currently a defendant in a civil suit filed by former officer John Connors. Connors alleged DuBois placed him under a gag order regarding speaking about Goodwin’s will.
The separation agreement does not need to be approved by Portsmouth City Council.
