Police: Charges expected to be filed after crash on Route 16 in Rochester


ROCHESTER — Charges are expected to be made after an accident left two cars badly damaged on Gonic Road in Rochester Sunday morning.

Officers said 56-year-old Nancy Ramos-Lisk, of Rochester, was driving a 2015 Jeep Renegade when she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Route 16 but was struck by another driver’s car. The other car was driven by Melissa Aguirre, 37, of Rochester.

Officials said Aguirre and her vehicle were not on scene, but were later located at her home. Aguirre’s car sustained heavy damage and she was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

A child in the Ramos-Lisk car was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons as her Jeep was heavily damage.

The accident is still under investigation.
