Police charge driver of truck that hit Laconia man with DUI

LACONIA — A man walked half a mile from a crash after being struck by a truck in what police ruled was a case of drunk driving Friday evening.

A red Ford pickup truck driven by Daniel Baker of Moultonborough was traveling westbound on Elm Street when it hit Jordan Feaster of Laconia at approximately 6:50 p.m.

Feaster was knocked down, but he left the scene on foot before police arrived. After he was found half a mile away, he was taken to the Lakes Region General Hospital for minor injuries.

Baker was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and taken to the Laconia Police Department for processing. He was released on $1,000 bail and given an arraignment date of Dec. 8.
