Police charge Canaan pair with the sale of cocaine


CANAAN - Police arrested a pair from Canaan after investigating the sale of cocaine.

On Sunday, police arrested 29-year-old Morgan Hallstead, and 28-year-old Clifford G. Lavanture and charged them with possession of cocaine with intent to sell as the result of an investigation.

Hallstead and Lavanture were each held at the Grafton County House of Corrections on $10,000 cash bail.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
