Police capture suspected shooter in Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs mayor says standoff at Planned Parenthood has ended with arrest of suspect.
Mayor John Suthers says he did not have any further details.
A gunman opened fire at a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic on Friday, wounding multiple people and engaging in gun battles with police as patients and staff members ducked behind tables to hide and dodge the crossfire.
Police say 11 people, including five officers, have been transported to area hospitals. Authorities do not have any further details on those wounded or whether there had been any fatalities in the attack.
The gunman also planted unspecified "items" outside the building and carried bags inside, police Lt. Catherine Buckley said. Authorities planned to investigate the items once the scene was stabilized "to make sure they're not any kind of improvised device," she said.
